1st Phase of the Action with Africa Challenge Completed

Tuesday, 16 May marked an important milestone for this year’s Action with Africa Challenge since 230 Enactus Projects had the chance to submit a Progress Report stating their business results and SDG impact created so far. 110 Enactus projects from 16 countries across the globe submitted their records and were informed if they made it to the next round on 25 May.

All approved entries will be reviewed by 174 judges from 2 to 12 June and following this evaluation, the TOP 6 teams will be announced right at Enactus Germany’s National Competition. The Action with Africa TOP 6 Announcement will be live-streamed on YouTube on Friday, 23 June at 10am GMT.

The TOP 6 teams will be invited to present their projects live on stage on 17 October in Utrecht, where the prestigious Enactus World Cup will take place. On 19 October, the TOP 12 ranking will be announced during the Action with Africa Award Ceremony awarding a total of EUR 100,000 in project funding to the winning teams. The shortlisted project teams were asked to submit the 2nd Progress Report by 14 September 2023 at 23:59 GMT, which presents the full year results of their actions taken.

Finally, great news is that 83 teams are still in the game for the BASF Excellence Award SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and 55 project teams still have the chance to win the Wilo Excellence Award focussing on SDG 6 (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene). Good luck everyone!
