Challenge Details
β Action With Africa Challenge Portal
This year’s Action With Africa Challenge kicks off with an updated version of the π Action With Africa Challenge Portal. It facilitates the application process tremendously and helps Enactus teams to find all relevant information at one single place.Β The form also provides guidance to participants so that everyone gets a sound understanding of what the individual questions refer to before submitting an application. Thanks to the portal any entries made are auto-saved, which allows you to pause the preparation, close the form and pick it up where you left – even on a different device!
β Get Started Right Away
You only need a (shared) email address to log into the portal. Once you have entered a verfication code received by email, your team can familiarize with the Action With Africa Challenge Portal immediately. π After you have entered your Enactus country and university, you will also be able to view screenshots from each Progress Report form’s page.
β Early-stage & Advanced Competition
This year, it is the second time both early-stage and advanced projects can apply. The project funding for early-stage projects is limited to 3x EUR 500. The key difference is that advanced projects require a solid proof-of-concept and therefore compete for a total of EUR 30,000 in project funding.
β Reporting & Forecasting Period
The Progress Report covers the reporting period 1 September 2024 to 30 April 2025 (“Actuals”), 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2025 (“Full-year Forecast”) and 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026 (“Planning”).
β 2nd Progress Report
Lastly, to complete the Challenge, the TOP 6 project teams must submit the 2nd Progress Report by 15 October 2025 at 10 AM GMT stating the actual project results achieved between 1 September 2024 and 31 August 2025. The 2nd Progress Report form will be made available to the shortlisted teams after the TOP 6 Announcement has taken place.

Yes, all teams with new or existing projects are invited to join the Action With Africa Challenge. Recently started projects can apply for the early-stage competition category. Advanced projects still require a proof-of-concept by the time the Progress Report is submitted.
No, unfortunately. The Action With Africa program addresses Enactus projects and it is therefore not possible for individuals or non-Enactus businesses to participate.
Enactus projects that have reached the TOP 8 in 2022, TOP 6 in 2023 and the TOP 6 in 2024 cannot participate again. Those university teams are allowed to nominate different projects instead. All other teams and projects are welcome to apply another time.
The Action With Africa program is an Africa-focused initiative that aims at creating jobs and local SDG impact. To ensure that the project funding is used in African countries, we ask you to explain how you realize your project locally from outside Africa and who supports you with this as a local partner.
Yes and no. You are free to change your project title until you submit your Progress Report. You cannot change it anymore after 6 May 2025. Projects which – for some reason – change their project title without seeking approval from the Action With Africa Tean may be excluded from the Challenge.
No, it is only required that the Enactus university team presents a project at the National Competition. It does not need to be the project participating in the Action With Africa Challenge.
Teams have the chance to win their share of EUR 55,000 awarded as project funding:
Early-stage TOP 3 | 3x EUR 500 |
Advanced Projects
Ranking | Project Funding (EUR) |
1 | 10,000 |
2 | 7,500 |
3 | 5,000 |
4 – 6 | 2,500 |
The Jury Review Form is a newly designed template summarizing your entries from the Progress Report. It presents all relevant information in an easy to read format allowing judges to navigate quickly through the individual questions.
Once you have submitted, you will receive a copy of the Jury Review Form via email for your records.
The deadline on 15 April is meant to encourage students to sign up on the Action With Africa Challenge Portal. This means that one simply needs to create an account by that time. From this day, there are only three weeks left until the Progress Report submission deadline on 6 May at 10 AM GMT.
